Move together. Every week.

What’s The Weekly?

A weekly movement class for little ones and their grown-ups. Through music, movement, and playful themes, The Weekly helps families build joyful routines, make new friends, and discover the simple magic of showing up together.

Designed for Littles

Ever spend an entire class trying to convince your child to participate the "right" way?

The Weekly is designed around how little ones actually learn: through movement, curiosity, observation, and play. Some wait, some watch, and others dive right it. All responses are welcome.

Sure, you could dance in your living room. But when was the last time you invited a room full of families to join you?

The Weekly isn't about dance training. It's about movement, music, connection, and creating a reason to gather every week.

Less dance class.
More dance party.

Based on Blue Zones

There's a concept called
Blue Zones—places in the world where people live the longest, happiest lives. Researchers have spent years studying these communities, looking for the secret to longevity. Again and again, they arrive at the same answer: meaningful relationships, regular movement, and a strong sense of belonging.

The Weekly was inspired
by those ideas.

More than a class

More than a class

Making friends as a grown-up can be surprisingly hard.

By showing up week after week, familiar faces become familiar names. Conversations become friendships. What begins as a class slowly becomes a community..

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Absolutely! In fact, science proves it is one of the most powerful things you can do for your family. A rich body of research across neuroscience and child psychology shows that when you drop your guard and move playfully, it unlocks incredible developmental benefits and pure joy for your child.

Here is how your playful movement shapes your child’s world:

    • Joy is Contagious: When your kids see you smiling and moving freely, they catch that happiness instantly. According to the peer-reviewed Interparental Positivity Spillover Theory (IPST), seeing a parent model uninhibited joy directly lifts a child’s emotional well-being and teaches them that happiness is safe to express.

    • Brain-to-Brain Connection: When you share a goofy dance step or a playful look, your brains actually sync up. Peer-reviewed neuroimaging studies tracking Parent-Child Brain Coupling reveal that shared emotional interactions cause brain waves to synchronize, releasing dopamine and creating a deep, biological sense of closeness. [1]

    • The "Dancing Dialogue": Long before words, children connect through movement. Clinical frameworks like Dr. Suzi Tortora’s Embodied Parenting show that creating a playful "dancing dialogue" builds the physical foundation for a secure, lifelong attachment.

    • An Instant Stress Reset: Children co-regulate their nervous systems by watching yours. When you dance, you signal to your child’s body that they are safe. Landmark medical research on Child-Caregiver Coregulation shows that this interactive physical feedback loop breaks up everyday tension and melts away childhood anxiety without needing to say a word.

What happens in class?

Each week begins the same way—with a welcome song that quickly becomes familiar to both children and grown-ups. From there, we step into a new world together. One week we might explore the ocean. Another week we might journey through a forest, visit outer space, or dance through a thunderstorm.

We introduce a few ideas, share some images, and wonder together about how things move. How does a jellyfish move? How does the wind move? How does a shooting star move?

Then the music starts.

From there, the invitation is simple: move.

Every class includes a mix of music, movement, props, imagination, and play. The themes change from week to week, but the structure remains familiar, helping children feel confident while still discovering something new.

Designed for Little Ones

Many movement classes ask young children to sit still, follow directions, or participate in ways that don't match how they naturally learn.

The Weekly was designed differently.

Young children learn through curiosity, repetition, observation, and movement. Rather than asking them to perform, we invite them to explore. Some children jump right in. Some watch first. Some spend the entire class inventing their own version of the activity.

All of those responses are welcome.

We wanted to create a place where little ones and their grown-ups could experience those same ingredients in a way that feels simple, joyful, and sustainable. Not another activity to squeeze into the calendar, but a ritual that becomes part of the rhythm of family life.

Because the things we do consistently, joyfully, and in good company have a way of sticking.

MUSIC YOU'LL ACTUALLY ENJOY

Themed children's songs help us build each week's world, but we're not going to ask you to listen to thirty minutes of children's music.

Our playlists blend playful favorites with music that grown-ups genuinely enjoy. Some songs connect directly to the theme. Others are chosen simply because they make people want to move.

The goal isn't perfect dancing. It's presence.

When grown-ups stop worrying about how they look and start enjoying themselves, children notice. Those moments when everyone is laughing, moving, and fully engaged together are often the moments people remember long after class ends.

More than a class

The Weekly is designed as an eight-week session because community takes time.

By the third week, children recognize the songs. By the sixth week, they begin recognizing familiar faces. Parents start chatting. Children begin greeting one another. What began as a weekly activity slowly becomes something more meaningful.

A community is built the same way any good habit is built: one week at a time.
